Dear Students/ Families of MS 890, Welcome to our physical education online program. We look forward to a positive online experience with you. Students will have opportunities to; learn about health concepts, improve their level of physical fitness by using the fitness tracker, gain knowledge about and practice skills to become effective and efficient movers, develop responsible decision making skills, manage increased responsibilities, and to gain an understanding of the value of life-long learning, in and out of the classroom. Parents/Guardians you are the most influential and important person in your child's life. By respectfully working together to encourage responsibility, physical activity and quality work, our aim is to help your child(ren) enjoy fitness and develop healthy lifestyle habits. Understanding and support of our expectations promote the message that we are a team working to encourage physical, cognitive and social growth in each child. Please encourage your children to move at home as they are in a crucial stage of physical development. Walking, yoga and calisthenics (using your own body weight) are all ideal for at home workout routines. Movement is key!
