In science this year, we will be learning all about energy and how it affects the world around us. Even though school is not "normal", I am excited to learn science with you this year. On this page, you can find announcements and resources specific to science class. Please visit the science Google Classroom page to find current work and upcoming deadlines. BIG Grades (projects, tests, quizzes):
STEM Career Project (due September 30) (Lesson 1.5 on Google Classroom) - Make sure this project is submitted! You will research a scientist and describe what their job is.
Roller Coaster Engineering Challenge (due October 13) - You will make a paper roller coaster to show how potential and kinetic energy changes. You must complete the Google Slides presentation to show how you approached this problem.
1.15 Writing a Scientific Argument (letter to the rescue team) - Activity 3 of this classwork is a formative assessment (quiz) grade. You must write a scientific argument about which energy source is better.
Unit 1 (Energy) Test - test for the end of the energy unit. Worth 25% of your MP1 grade!
Unit 1 Test Corrections - This will help you raise your grade for the first unit exam!
Other Assignments that are GRADED:
1.10 Kinetic and Potential Energy (Classwork)
1.16 Electric Circuits Lab (Classwork)
2.3 Temperature and Motion (Nearpod classwork assignment)
