Welcome to MS890. My name is Mr. Golembe, and I will be your 6th Math and Science teacher for classes 601 and 619.
I'm very excited for a brand new school year exploring different topics in math and science.
Our curriculum we will be using for Math is Pearson's CMP3 Math Curriculum. CMP3 Math Curriculum is an inquiry-based mathematics program for Grades 6-8. This program will allow students to actively engage on math problem solving and connect mathematical ideas to students' everyday world.
Our curriculum we will be using for Science is SEPUP or Science Education for Public Understanding Program. SEPUP is a curriculum that students will learn how to gather and interpret scientific evidence about issues of interest to them and their community. SEPUP is a middle level science program that treats issues in a way that allows students to foster and think abstractly.
This class page will have daily updates pertaining to classwork/homework for Classes 601 and 619. So please check daily for any questions you may have.
